Help with switching between clips Empty Help with switching between clips

Post by mcleetus Thu Apr 15, 2010 3:21 am

Okay, what I am trying to do is be able to switch between clips on different tracks and scenes and be able to see the waveform for each different one with the clip/track button. Say I am on Row 1/Track 1, and I want to transition to the next one to the right, Row 1/Track 2. I can do this fine because I watch the different waveforms and switch back and forth between them with the track selection buttons. BUT! If I want to go down one row, from Row 1/Track 2 to Row 2/Track 1 (or any clip on that row), I can't because I use the track selection button to go back to Track 1 and it shows the waveform from row 1, not 2. Can anyone help?

No, nothing at all happens when I hold it. What normally happens when you hold it?

Focus changes to the clip playing? What version of Live are you using?

Yeah, it's a big problem for me. I want to see a wave of a *playing* track when I select another row.
For example, If a Row1 Track1 is playing and I start Row2 Track2, when I select Row1, I want to see Track1, which is currently playing.

The only way to switch it is an "arrows" up / down, when you click on a MIDI map. They are just above the master volume, they only appears when you click a MIDI mapping.
