I'm having a few problems....

I cannot get my APC standard template to work with Ableton 7.0.14 .

When I midi sync the APC40 is not shown as an option in the left hand column....
Even though it is shown in the centre and left side of the three columns.

Wot am I doing wrong.....

Do you just suggest I use Ableton Live 7.0.13 (build 4) which was packaged with the APC....

This appears to be unlocked.....

If you elect to use a standalone version of Ableton Live, it must be Live 7 with the latest update (7.0.16) or Live 8. The update adds the APC40 MIDI template to remote control in MIDI preferences.

I can't get it to work even with the update, live won't recognize the APC 40 in the ins & outs.

Have you tried unplugging all other USB and just using the APC40 to start with?

Even try setting the APC up with no sound card installed.... does it work with the Live Light version in the APC box?

Yes i tried even with all usb's cables unplugged and still nothing, i been reading like crazy how to set it up to work and nothing i think im just going to return it.....i dont really want to but idk lol. some help please.

It should work with the Live Lite version straight out of the box. People who have had problems before have tried unplugging all USB and then building it back up with the APC40 first. Are you using PC or Mac?

I have windows but also have a mac book, on my mac it works right away but on windows nothing nothing nothing. I tried everything the USB thing rebooting reinstalling live apc edition and also live 7. Any help please. it has to work some how right....right?

Does the apc 40 only works with live akai edition or with live 7 also cuz on live 7 it wont find the apc 40 under control surface.
